here is the t600 i mentioned in the t904"big blue" thread, built some time back its a little dusty and needs a few little repairs and a few little bits and pieces reattached,
this started life as an ebay glue bomb which i bought,i stripped it down,a quick soak in caustic to remove the enamel paint, filled the grille to the bonnet, filled the rh peep window and cut out a new one on the lhs, daylite doors ,next came the chassis, first thing to go was the old walking beam rear i swapped in an 8 bag rear from an old built up aero awaiting rebuild,i also borrowed the front axle and wheels from it too,the parts from the t600 i will use when i do the aero,i made up a new mount for the turntable as i didnt want a slider added mounts for quad tanks, the chassis i painted i a deep maroon, the cab is painted in gunmetal and stripes are painted, the engine i cleaned up,added a new trans and did away with the aux box,the wheels were added from the donor aero and i fitted some of my drive caps to them as well, the rear tailight bar is made from plastruct, the alloy rear gauards i made from alloy sheetr rolled around a caulking tube mounts are plastruct,a scrap piece of kfs chequerplate for the gap between cab and turntable, suzi is madefrom alloy tube and some phone cable, the interior was also updated with a right hand dash, new gearstick and the original seats just didnt fit the bill so i replaced them with some high backs from the spares box, other odds and ends to finish it off as well, ses no show pony but the whole thing only cost about $20 all up to build,i started rebuilding a built up extendable for it which i converted to a tri axle,10 stud wheels and made a new top with aus style coaming rail but i havent gotten around to finishing yet
cheers danny
